Looking for Affordable US-based Hosting

Old Today, 03:10 AM Hi, I just signed up for a host after bailing out on my old one (I couldn't access their site because of an IP block and thus couldn't pay my invoice), but the new one's located in Europe. Eventually I want to transfer to a US-based host.

I just run a personal site on a small budget and will probably just add a couple more sites to my account. Basically what I need is:

- 1GB space
- 10GB bandwidth
- 2 add-on domains
- 4 MySQL databases
- 10 email addresses
- Apache, PHP and cPanel
- (optional) free Shared SSL; If not, an affordable price for dedicated IPs and SSL
- price of $3/mo or less

Any hosts that offer these?

Old Today, 03:21 AM Honestly your request isn't very complex and your needs are pretty modest. With that being said; take a look at the offers section. Once you have found a host to fit your needs, utilize the search function to find renews...
Reply With Quote Old Today, 04:44 AM As far as I can tell, similar price/features can be located on Justhost using half price coupon code.

Reply With Quote Old Today, 04:53 AM Your requirements are pretty simple. However, I have one advice for you. Get a dedicated IP and dedicated SSL, if you plan to carry out e-commerce, rather than going for a shared SSL.
IP costs anywhere between $1-$5 at max. Basic SSL will generally cost around $50-$100 depending on SSL provider.

... I'd recommand Crocweb.

There's several good low-cost hosts out there. Ninjalion is another one I've used.
I found each of them via WHT.

I helped one of my former customers move to NinjaLion last week; they are very happy with the experience so far. The servers are certainly fast!

While they (and many other hosts) add your domain name to transfer to them, you can delete the domain registration from the shopping cart when you get there.

Reply With Quote Old Today, 12:04 PM NinjaLion seems to have everything I need in their minimum package; I'll definitely be considering them when my billing period ends. Thanks for all the suggestions.
Reply With Quote Old Today, 03:28 PM stablehost for these requirements is good.
